Jeremy Hayes
Jeremy grew up in the small town of Georgetown, Indiana, where he learned the value of hard
work at an early age from his parents, who both worked long hours and rarely took a day off. With a
passion for History and a desire to coach football, Jeremy attended Indiana University Southeast,
graduating with a B.S. in Secondary Education. Jeremy then worked for several years as a High School
History Teacher and Football Coach. He then attended the University of Louisville Louis D Brandeis
School of Law. During law school, Jeremy worked as a law clerk at the Indiana Attorney General’s Office
and for the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel. After graduating law school, Jeremy had
always wanted to live in the Carolinas, so he made the move to South Carolina where he served as
Assistant Solicitor for the 16th Circuit Solicitors Office gaining criminal trial experience. Jeremy then
went to work as a Real Estate Closing Attorney for Stelzner Law Firm, followed by serving as a Public
Defender for York County. In service to his community, Jeremy is the Treasurer for the York County Bar
Association which supports law–related community initiatives. He is fully dedicated to aggressively
pursuing justice on behalf of his clients which led him to join Schiller & Hamilton.
